Super Cup 2025-26: FC Goa ease past Inter Kashi 3-0 to seal semifinal berth
Borja Herrera netted a brace while Dejan Drazic opened the scoring as defending AIFF Super Cup champion FC Goa cruised into the semifinals with a 3-0 win over Inter Kashi at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Wednesday.
The Gaurs were off to a flying start, breaking the deadlock inside the opening four minutes. The move began when Abdul Rabeeh’s headed interception from a Kashi throw-in inadvertently sent the ball toward defender David Humanes. The slippery conditions, caused by persistent rain, saw Humanes lose his footing, allowing local favourite Muhammad Nemil to pounce and set up Drazic, who calmly slotted home.
Goa doubled their advantage just after the half-hour mark. Drazic once again proved decisive, pouncing on a poor clearance from Anil Chawan before squaring it to Herrera, who struck a clean half-volley past goalkeeper Shubham Dhas to make it 2-0.
The defending champions dominated possession and tempo throughout, with Herrera sealing the result late in the second half. The Spaniard found space inside the box and curled a precise finish beyond Dhas to complete his brace and confirm Goa’s place in the final four.
The result ends Inter Kashi’s maiden Super Cup campaign, while Goa continue their title defence with confidence and cohesion.
