Match Preview: PSG vs Angers
Paris Saint-Germain emerged from their win over Nantes without fresh injuries, though Luis Enrique could be without Presnel Kimpembe (virus) and Senny Mayulu (thigh). Gianluigi Donnarumma remains ostracised, so new signing Lucas Chevalier is set for his Parc des Princes debut in goal.
Enrique rotated heavily in Nantes, leaving out Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Nuno Mendes, and Achraf Hakimi from the starting XI. All six could return here as the champions look to build momentum, but competition for places is fierce. Bradley Barcola and Lee Kang-in – both of whom netted braces against Angers last season – will hope to retain their spots, though Joao Neves, back from suspension, is pushing to start in midfield at Lee’s expense.
For Angers, Esteban Lepaul was the opening-day hero, picking up where he left off last term as the club’s top scorer with nine league goals. However, the visitors face challenges in attack, with Mouton suspended and last season’s second-highest scorer Himad Abdelli (six goals) also unavailable.
