Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard made a welcome return from a shoulder injury at the weekend, coming off the bench to deliver the decisive corner for Gabriel’s winner. His comeback provides a timely boost for Mikel Arteta, who is still contending with four absentees.
Long-term knee injuries keep Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Jesus sidelined until the winter, while Piero Hincapié continues to struggle with a groin issue that is expected to rule him out of midweek action. At the back, Cristhian Mosquera endured a difficult outing against Newcastle – conceding the corner that led to the opener before being withdrawn at half-time – and William Saliba is in line to reclaim his spot in defence.
Olympiacos, meanwhile, arrive with a lighter injury list. Roman Yaremchuk (unspecified) and youngster Lorenzo Scipioni (knee) are their only known fitness concerns, but boss José Luis Mendilibar will be without creative duo Rémy Cabella and Yusuf Yazıcı, neither of whom were registered for the European group stage.
Even so, the visitors are unlikely to change much in attack after Chiquinho’s match-winning brace at the weekend cemented his role in the No. 10 position. Former Wolves winger Daniel Podence should also retain his place on the left flank as Olympiacos seek to cause an upset in North London.
