FC Goa cruise past Inter Kashi to book Super Cup semi-final spot
Fatorda, October 29, 2025:
Reigning champions FC Goa stormed into the semifinals of the AIFF Super Cup 2025–26 with a commanding 3–0 win over Inter Kashi in their Group B fixture at the PJN Stadium, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
The Gaurs were in complete control from the opening whistle, sealing their passage to the knockouts with all three goals coming before half-time. Dejan Dražić opened the scoring in the third minute, before Borja Herrera netted a quick brace in the 38th and 42nd minutes.
The result maintained Goa’s perfect record in Group B with six points from two matches. With NorthEast United FC and Jamshedpur FC sharing the spoils in their 2–2 draw earlier in the day, neither side can now overtake the defending champions, who have confirmed their semifinal berth with a game to spare. For Inter Kashi, the defeat marked the end of their campaign, as they sit bottom of the table with just one point.
FC Goa wasted no time asserting dominance. Their slick passing and coordinated movement pinned Inter Kashi deep inside their own half. The breakthrough arrived inside three minutes — a moment of opportunism from Dražić.
A misdirected throw-in was headed back into the box, where defender David Humanes slipped under pressure. The loose ball fell kindly to Muhammed Nemil, who teed up Dražić. The Serbian forward made no mistake, rifling a clean strike past goalkeeper Shubham Das to give Goa an early lead.
