Arsenal emerged from their midweek victory over Brighton without any fresh injury concerns, but their triumph against Crystal Palace last weekend did come at a cost. Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori, William Saliba, and Gabriel Martinelli all picked up minor issues during that fixture.
While Rice and Calafiori have recovered swiftly, Saliba remains a doubt for Saturday’s clash, and Martinelli has been ruled out entirely — paving the way for Leandro Trossard to start on the left flank.
Elsewhere, Arsenal’s long-term absentees Gabriel Jesus, Noni Madueke, Martin Ødegaard, and Kai Havertz (all knee injuries) are not expected to return before the international break. However, Ødegaard, Havertz, and Madueke could feature in time for next month’s North London derby.
For Burnley, midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu was a late enforced change during the five-goal thriller against Wolves, but there are no lasting concerns about his fitness.
However, Jordan Beyer (hamstring), Zeki Amdouni (knee), and Connor Roberts (knee) remain sidelined and are unlikely to return before the end of the calendar year.
One bright spark for Burnley has been left-back Quilindschy Hartman, who provided two assists at Molineux, taking his tally to four assists in the Premier League this season — though all of them have come away from home.
